I can no longer be an organ and tissue donor. I am a survivor, having had bone marrow transplant two and a half years ago. I was fortunate enough to have a matched donor. The dedication of everyone involved in the transplant process is awe inspiring. Thank you all. I hope the record is broken as awareness is raised.

Thanks for your comment Stephanie! You can still possibly be a donor if that’s your wish – a previous medical condition is not always a rule out. The donation professionals have tests at the time of death to determine what is suitable for transplantation. So if donation interests you, please sign up today! We appreciate your support!

This is going to be an awesome event! I will be there with my family remembering my dad, who gave in 2008 after he died of a heart attack. We did the 5K fun walk in the summer and have been keeping up with these events. I am very excited to see all of the light that will come from this experience.
