Motorcycle Outreach Efforts Recognized

On April 22, 2010 Lifeline of Ohio and Fahlgren Mortine Public Relations received the 2010 PRism Award for the “Live On. Ride On.motorcycle outreach campaign.  The award was presented by the Central Ohio Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for the “Marketing Communications/Existing Products or Services, Non-Profit” category. Social Media Saves Lives

This weekend I had the opportunity to discuss how social media helps Lifeline of Ohio save lives.  I joined my friend, Kelly Misevich from Coca-Cola Enterprises, on a social media panel at the 2010 Public Relations Olympics at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.

I was so impressed by the number of students who attended this event and their level of professionalism and engagement.  The event was organized by the Otterbein College PRSSA group and included some heavy hitters in Columbus. I was humbled to be among them! Read More »

OSU Student Group Illustrates Need for Donors

Did you know that there are currently more than 500 people waiting right now for a life-saving organ transplant at The Ohio State University Medical Center?   

To show the dramatic need for organ and tissue donors, the Ohio State University Students for Organ Donation group will be hosting “In Their Shoes,” a shoe drive dedicated to showing students, faculty and staff the sheer number of individuals waiting for a life-saving transplant. Read More »

Lifeline of Ohio Unveils New Corporate Logo

Lifeline of Ohio turned 25 years old this year and decided it was time to refresh our corporate look and change our logo!

The new brand, centered around a modern, yet friendly, logo, was unveiled at the 25th anniversary celebration April 19, 2010 to staff and board members, and we are pleased to share it with you! Our new colors, deep blue and bright green, complement the Donate Life logo, as the two are used together frequently encouraging all who see the logo to take action and Donate Life by signing up in the Ohio Donor Registry.  The font and design are casual, yet professional, perfect as we mark 25 years of service to our community!

‘Shine On’ Quilt Honors Heroes of Donation

Lifeline of Ohio’s 11th Donor Memorial Quilt panel, “Shine On,” was unveiled this week in celebration of Donate Life Month. It features squares from Ohioans who gave the “Gift of Life” through organ or tissue donation. Each square was handmade by the donor’s family.  Read More »
