We Broke the Record!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Candlelight Vigil on April 11, helping us light candles for organ and tissue donation awareness!  We unofficially broke the Guinness World Record™ for most candles lit simultaneously in a single venue and are waiting on confirmation.

It was an amazing, emotional evening and a great testament to the power of organ and tissue donation.  We will have pictures and details posted in a few days, but we wanted to share our excitement with you!

In case you missed the event, see the embedded video below from WCMH NBC-4 or check out WSYX ABC6′s video coverage online.

THANK YOU to all who planned, attended and volunteered at this very special event!

Hi, my name is Lizzie. My Dad and I went to this event (The Candlelight Vigil). We went there to light our candle and to research for my group’s project that my school is doing called Youth for Justice. The topic my group’s is doing is organ and tissue donation. When we were there, we got a flyer on the Dash for Donation thing. I would like to use information on the flyer to make some business card type thing to pass out, to the people when they pass by, when we present our project when we are done. The business card type thing is on the Dash for Donation thing in July. I would like it if you could send me the Dash for Donation logo thing so we could use it on the business card type thing if you let us. You can call us on our house phone at 614 539-8013 and if nobody picks up the phone please leave a message after the beep. Thank you for your time and Goodbye!

Hello, my name is Cynthia Johnson, and my husband and I volunteered at the candle light vigil. I must admit it was very moving and emotional. Having been the mother of a daughter who was an organ donor, the event was close to my heart. God Bless those who donate and those that receive the gift of life. May the light shine on!
