Hey Buckeye Fan!
I wanted to let you know that I have made the important decision to become an organ and tissue donor. By making this decision I also did my part in the Buckeye – Wolverine Challenge for Life — a community-minded competition to see which University can register the most new organ and tissue donors by Thursday, November 25, 2010.
By taking just a few minutes to register your wish to be a donor at the time of your death, you can potentially save 8 lives through organ donation and heal more than 50 through tissue and eye donation.
More than 108,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. More than 3,000 of those waiting are Ohioans! Tragically, 18 men, women, and children die each day in this country waiting for the “Gift of Life.” These deaths could be prevented if more people—just like you—made the commitment to become a donor at the time of their death.
