Teaming Up for Life
On Wednesday, July 28 Lifeline of Ohio CEO, Kent Holloway, recognized Cambridge Rotary as the winners of the “Teaming Up For Life” campaign.
Lifeline of Ohio developed the campaign, in partnership with the 59 clubs in District 6690, to promote donation. Rotary groups were encouraged to invite Lifeline of Ohio to speak with members about organ and tissue donation. Clubs were also offered the opportunity to participate in the Workplace Partnership For Life campaign, which encourages businesses and organizations to promote donation using a variety of free materials from Lifeline of Ohio.

Each awareness activity garnered points. Cambridge Rotary was selected the winner for involving 12 local businesses in the Workplace Partnership For Life program and for also sharing information on organ and tissue donation with Cambridge residents during a local community event.
To honor the winner of the “Teaming Up For Life” campaign, Lifeline of Ohio donated $1,000 to Cambridge Rotary’s charity of choice – Rotary International. The donated money will be contributed to a fund to help purchase a 35-person vehicle for the Montana de Luz HIV/AIDs orphanage in Honduras.
Kathy Warhola, Lifeline of Ohio employee and Cambridge Rotary member said “When Rotary district 6690 partnered with Lifeline of Ohio through the ‘Teaming Up for Life’ project, we were able to increase awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donation locally and in our region… The Cambridge Rotary Club recognized the impact that organ and tissue donation has made in our community and so they were excited to increase awareness of the urgent need. It’s so encouraging to see community leaders selflessly promote such an important issue. I want to thank all the members of the Cambridge club for making such a positive impact in our community.”
