Grant Medical Center Honors Donors
Donor families gathered on Sept. 26 to remember their loved ones at the unveiling of Grant Medical Center’s ”Wall of Heroes.”
The wall, located in the critical care waiting area on the hospital’s third floor, pays tribute to 15 individuals who gave the “Gift of Life” through organ or tissue donation at Grant Medical Center in the past year. “Those who have chosen organ and tissue donation are heroes in every sense of the word,” said Chief Nursing Officer Donna Hanly.
Lifeline of Ohio staff members attended the unveiling. “We are thrilled that Grant Medical Center has chosen to honor donors and their families with the Wall of Heroes,” said Dorrie Dils, Lifeline of Ohio’s chief clinical officer. “It demonstrates Grant’s longstanding dedication to donation and its support of donors and their families.”
The hospital plans to continue adding photos to the wall. Thank you, Grant Medical Center, for honoring those who have given the “Gift of Life!”

This is great news, but wondering about those whose family members: children, spouses, siblings and parents gave their “Gifts of Life” in the past. My son, Jeremy Doyle, died 9-18-98, at Grant MC and was able to contribute to the continued lives of seven individuals through his “Gift of Live” donantions. I would be honored to have his photo and information on the wall at Grant MC
Is there someone to contact to discuss this with?.

Kelly,
I know they just started with donors from the past year and plan to continue adding photo memorials to the wall.
Let me look into the right person at Grant who can answer your question about honoring Jeremy and I’ll be in touch.

What an awesome way for a hospital to help spread the word about organ, tissue and eye donation. Even though as donor families we miss our loved ones, we know their light shines on in others.
