Honey’s Helpers

I am so excited to meet a new group of helpers tonight!  I’m hosting a training session for “Honey’s Helpers,” a group of dedicated volunteers who help me create “buzz” about organ and tissue donation.

Since I was born more than two years ago, the central Ohio community has welcomed me with open arms!  I have had incredible opportunities to attend events and make new friends.  I have my own facebook page, I get to host the Kids and Mascots Dash every year - a really fun event with my mascot friends - and Lifeline of Ohio even started giving away little bee dolls that look just like me! (In fact, I’m giving five away to people who comment on this post!)

Along the way, I’ve taken my message with me, encouraging everyone to “bee” an organ and tissue donor.   None of this would be possible without the helpers who escort me to community events and even get to be the bee!

Getting involved as one of my helpers is a fun way to save lives.  If you’re interested in helping me register donors in swarms, email scheduling@lifelineofohio.org to find out when my next training session will take place.

Buzz and Kisses!

I just wanted to say you do a great job buzzing around local events spreading the word to ‘bee’ a donor!! Keep up the great work!

PS… In case I get picked to receive a doll, please pass it on to someone that has been touched by donation, maybe someone in a hospital recovering from a donation, or the family of a donor. I already have a mini you, so I dont need to be greedy with another one!

I would just like to give a heart felt Thank You for all that do ! My bestfriend and roommate of 20+ yrs just received her kidney and pancreas transplant 6 months ago. How amazing !!! After being diabetic for 40 years it warms my heart to see her be able to now enjoy life. I would love to see her eyes light up with this doll. May god bless everyone who is a donor and all receipents.
    Sincerely,
    Kori

Oh Honey it was my first year running the Dash for Donation & I can’t say how impressed I was with the enthusiasm you showed. I’d love to see a kiddo get a mini you & help spread organ donation awareness to our future generations.
    Donor,
