A hero is someone who does something others would not normally do, despite thinking it IS something people should normally do.

My brother is a hero. He was in an accident and was an organ donor. His heart helped someone live a whole extra year of life and many of his other organs donated still live on. It was/is a great comfort for me and my family to know he is living on through someone else and that his tragidy was someone else's triumph. Being an organ donor means being a hero!! If you can't save yourself, save someone else!!!

A hero is someone who puts others before themselves and who demonstrate the kind of caring action we should all emulate. My husband was a tissue & organ donor...and helped many people when it was his time, just as he was known for in life. That is a hero. And he is mine.
