Join the Sixth Annual Buckeye-Wolverine Challenge For Life!

For the sixth year in a row, the Buckeyes are taking on the “team up north” to see which state can register the most organ, eye and tissue donors from Sept. 1 - Nov. 24.  Ultimately, this competition is about saving lives (like the eight lives one organ donor can potentially save) and everyone wins, but let’s face it, we don’t like losing to Michigan!  You can score a point for Ohio by joining the Ohio Donor Registry today.

Here are a few facts to help you make your decision about organ and tissue donation:

  • One tissue donor can enhance the lives of up to 50 people, like Willis.
  • Recipients are chosen based on medical criteria, like blood type and severity of illness, not on economic status or fame.  You’ve probably never heard of Judy, a kidney recipient from Columbus
  • OSU Head Football Coach Luke Fickell is a registered organ and tissue donor too! Watch his video here.
