Lifeline of Ohio is partnering with NBC4 in Columbus to host “Take a Seat for Life,” an all-day event on April 18. The Donate Life Green Chair will be featured at the NBC4 studios from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to promote organ and tissue donation.

Every 15 minutes, a central Ohioan will take a seat to share how donation has impacted his or her life.  Each volunteer’s testimonial will be broadcast live at nbc4i.com – click here to watch!

The goal of this “sit-in” is to encourage Ohioans not to let another chair go empty.  Because there aren’t enough donors, a chair goes empty every 48 hours in our state as someone dies waiting for a transplant. You can change that, by registering today as an organ, eye and tissue donor!

Lifeline of Ohio is also joining The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for a special CALL 4 phone bank (614-281-4444) from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on April 18 to answer your questions about organ and tissue donation.  And make sure to tuned in to see OSU Wexner Med Center’s transplant special “Organ Donation: Your Gift, Their Hope” airing at 7:00 p.m. on NBC4.
