"Spiritual Guidance Matters: Helping Families Make Organ & Tissue Donation Decisions"

July 07, 2009
1pm-4:30pm

When faced with making decisions about organ and tissue donation, families often turn first to their clergy about advice on issues of faith and the donation process.  As the leader of your religious organization, you’re someone that they know and trust...but are you confident that you know the answers?

Lifeline of Ohio, in collaboration with Mount Carmel Health Systems would like to invite all religious leaders to “Spiritual Guidance Matters: Helping Families Make Organ and Tissue Donation Decisions.”  This seminar will serve to provide all religious leaders with the answers they need-before they are called on by a family in crisis.  This free seminar is open to any religious leader who would like to learn more about organ and tissue donation.

Seminar participants will:

-learn the facts about organ & tissue donation

-meet and hear personal stories from donor families and recipients

-learn about the critical role of the clergy in the decision making process and family care after the donation
