Columbus City Council Proclaims April Donate Life Month

4/8/08 -- Kidney candidate Edward Drake II, pictured at the podium, shared his story and appreciation with members of Columbus City Council at the April 7 meeting. Councilwoman Charleta Tavares, pictured far left, sponsored a proclamation recognizing April as Donate Life Month in Columbus, coinciding with the national and statewide celebration. Council members encouraged all residents to sign up as an organ and tissue donors in the Ohio Donor Registry. Drake has been waiting for 18 months for his second chance at life.
