4/4/08 -- Commissioner Joseph Cicchirillo of the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles unveiled West Virginia’s first Donate Life license plate at the State Capitol on February 14 . Representatives of the state's hospitals and organ and tissue recovery agencies attended the Valentine's Day ceremony, along with transplant recipients and donor family members who were on hand to proudly receive the first new plates issued.The license plate had been preordered by nearly 300 West Virginians. Among those receiving a plate was a nurse at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Teresa Phillips, (pictured with Commissioner Cicchirillo) whose sister was an organ donor at the time of her death.
